Dr Halari is a clinical psychologist and a qualified clinical hypnotherapist. She is also a Senior Lecturer in the division of Psychological Medicine and Mental Health, and a Research Fellow at the Institute of Psychiatry, Kings College, University of London. She works both in the NHS and in the independent (private) sector.

Dr Halari has published widely in peer-reviewed journals in the field of mental health and psychology/psychiatry. She is also a recognised clinical supervisor for undergraduate and postgraduate psychologist both qualified and those undergoing clinical training.
